The music was decent, the decor is nice, and waitress was attentive...those are all the positives I have for this place. The crowd wasn't what I was used to, and pretty much a homogeneous group of Greeks. I guess I can't complain since we were in the middle of Astoria. Now for the negatives 1. It's way out in Queens but they act like they're some up-scale club in Manhattan. 2. When we inquired originally about planning our party, we were quoted that we needed to buy 2 bottles for the table. When we got there, they let half of us in, then held the others hostage outside and we were told that we needed to buy a total of 3 bottles in order for everyone to get in, kinda shady. 3. When we had a few more people show up later, after we had bought 3 bottles, they were also stopped outside and we were told that we needed to buy yet another bottle to get them in. Mind you, we were a crowd of 14 with a even guy to girl ratio. YOU'RE A CLUB IN FREAKIN QUEENS!!! Get over yourselves. Someone at the door tried to give me the reasoning that we needed to buy more bottles because we were taking up a table that they could turn around and sell 5 bottles to. I looked around...it was a sausage fest of dudes, I highly doubt someone was coming to buy up 5 bottles here. Luckily someone at the door came to their senses and let our friends in, this person saved them a 1 star rating. 4. I make it a point to always tip the bathroom attendant a dollar. After a couple trips to the restroom, I was out of singles so I asked the guy to break a $20. I got my change and dropped a dollar into the bucket. The guy then tells me that next time I needed change to get it at the bar because he doesn't have time to make change if I was only tipping him a dollar. YOU SIT IN A BATHROOM AND HAND PEOPLE PAPER TOWELS!!! I'm sorry, I thought a dollar per sheet of paper towel was being generous...I guess the ballers in this club are dropping some serious money to dry off their hands. 5. Bottle service got us this tiny space with 2 small love-seats and a coffee table. We barely had any room to stand and dance. The whole place is over crowded in general. CONCLUSION: If you live in Manhattan, there is no good reason to come all the way out here. The bottles may be a little cheaper, but definitely not worth the journey.

I went here yesterday for a friend's birthday. It was pretty empty. Only a few tables with us being the biggest group (8 girls). Our waitress was nice but there were long periods of time where she wouldn't come to us. We got drinks and appetizers to start which came relatively quickly. Nothing was to die for and at $10 an appetizer, it should've been better. The "Greek fries" that were supposed to have seasoning and feta were just a plate of fries with a little bit of feta sprinkled on top. I've had some AMAZING Greek fries before and these were not them. Kinda sucks when you get a better plate at a diner rather than a fancy place like this. Anyway then we ordered our entrees and waited...and waited...and waited. About 45 min of waiting later, the waitress gave us a free round of lemon drop shots as an apology for the wait. Fine. At an hour, she gave another round. At this point I barely wanted the shot, let alone food. My appetite was gone. Finally after a little over an hour the entrees came and it was ok but not great and definitely not worth the hefty price tag. They blamed the wait on a private party. Since it was so late, we ended up sticking around for the club part. They have a $30 limit on cards which means you either have to get a minimum 3 drinks every time you order or 2 drinks and a shot ($11 shots) in order to use your card. No thanks. I won't be returning for dinner ever again. I've been to the club a number of times before but don't remember that card limit.

So I went here for the two past weeks with some friends and we love it! The music is really good they have some old and new music. On Fridays they have live entertainment and this past Friday we saw Omarion. The drinks are the only thing that's a little pricey $9 for a shot of Fireball is a little steep, but other than that looks like this will be our new hangout!

The space/ set up is weird. The decor however is pretty ok. They pretend to be something they are not- let's not forget it's Queens people- this isn't Manhattan. The crowd is always the same I go there maybe every 6 months and I see the same faces!! Not a coincidence. I'm sure the same people go week after week seeking their Greek husband/ wife. The drinks are weak. The bartender was cross eyed and was winking at me and offered a drink. #NoThanks #IdontDrink #ThisIsWaterImHolding

this place would be great if security took their job seriously .....a few times I have seen fights break out and security not do anything about it or react way to late....this place is itching for a lawsuit!

I come here a few times a year mostly for birthdays etc.....its Astoria so of course gets good late like everything else in astoria(hey its how us greeks get down!) around 130-2 idk what happens but it gets crazy in here. Great enclosed outside area where you can smoke has a bar tables everything. Perfect place for a night out IMHO

I would give this place 5 stars for the music alone since I love Euro-house, pop and Greek music. If you don't, this may not be the place for you. It usually is a guaranteed good time! I see a lot of people wrote reviews on how it isn't Manhattan, etc., but thats the thing - its in Queens. Basically, don't visit this club if you want a city experience because it isn't. Its a fun Queens club and you have to be in that type of mood. The place is huge and nicely decorated and there is also a huge outdoor area. Its really nice in the summer but beware, it is packed with smokers. I have to remove a star because the alcohol is not good grade. I always feel sick for two days after even if I've only had a few drinks. In Greece we call what they serve "bombes" and it basically means they dilute grade A liquor with various stuff. However, to be fair, I could be completely wrong about this. Just my opinion. Food is eh. I wouldn't come here to eat.

It's NOT OK to have the running theme of any establishment be "totally OK to hit girls". I've read 3 reviews including my own where the same scenario plays out. Juiced-up guy hits girl, girl tries to get bouncer's attention, bouncer does *nothing*. I'm starting to think I should have gotten the police involved. This place needs to close. Better yet, stay open. Keep these animals off the street and confined to a small area.

I had a previous 'update' I wrote on here, a long long time ago. So this is an update to an update. Don't do it to yourself. Don't come here. The music sucks, the line gets long and annoying on weekends. the crowd is trash, drink/beer prices are at the same level as spots in Meatpacking, the dude working the mens bathroom is annoying and let me be clear about the clientele. The majority of the crowd is a bunch of 'I'm (insert European ethnicity) and proud" types who still live with mommy and daddy in Queens, drive their Audi/BMW/Mercedes and are worthless. The girls here are scantily clad and dumb as rocks. The bartenders are clueless and are usually too busy throwing bunches of napkins into the crowd. How do I know this? I use to frequent this place way way way too often than I like to recall. Take my word: stay away.

Beautiful decor.. they should get bigger couches for the VIP but then again.. this place is kind of small. They should get rid of those booths and tables at the beginning of the space because the dancefloor in the back would be bigger. The waitress was great and very attentive. The music is awesome.. for people who are into house music :) For those who gave bad reviews based on the music.. you should have googled or called them on the phone before going. When I called and asked, they tell you right off the bat, they play predominately house music. I've been here 4 times in total and never had a problem at the door. My only complaint is the bouncer inside the club. He was a complete jerk! My boyfriend and I had a table and we are having a great time dancing.. then all of a sudden.. the bouncer comes up to me and says "Stop dancing like that.. this isn't a strip club"! I was in total shock.. who is he to tell me how to dance? It wasn't like I was stripping or dancing on top of sofas or something. Very nervy and disrespectful. My boyfriend was about to punch him in the face, but I said no.. thank god this was at the end of the night after we finished the bottle because we just left. Oh well, i guess THE BOUNCER INSIDE THE CLUB IS A HATER. I guess he was observing us and jealous that he is working all night and staring at a couple with table service and having a great time. However, I am not going to bad mouth the venue.. I'm only bad mouthing that bald bouncer inside the club! lol

I had quite a miserable time here. We were initially shooed away because of our attire - don't wear flip flops or t-shirts, men! - but were then let in once friends, who were already inside, pleaded to let us in. It all seemed like an act, for the place was no where near crowded and just way too posh. The first round room is pretty intriguing, and it opens up into a more lounge-y area. If you go outside and downstairs, there's a semi-open patio area that also feels lounge-y, with benches and few tables. Anyway, the people here seem and look like they're taking themselves too seriously. The drinks were very expensive, and the music was not good. There seemed to be a crowd of primarily older men and younger women, but maybe that's just where I was standing. I feel like I could have done an ethnographic study here... let's just say it was definitely not the type of place I would have wanted to go.

Use cash. I left there at 1 AM and by 5 AM, my card was charged $500 to some computer tech company in Canada. Filing a police report. Never going back there. Drinks are watered down and food is average. Only thing going for it is the decor. And to think I gave that bitch a 20% tip for being really nice.

I've frequented Central on Saturday nights but never on a Wednesday night, until last night. I was really impressed by the amount of people there. The DJ was playing really good music with an array ranging from the latest radio hits to classics that had you thinking back to High School! Definitely kept everyone dancing all night long. My two girlfriends and I sat for dinner and ordered sushi. Their rolls were pretty decent, drinks were good (a little weaker from the outside bar, and certainly stronger from the inside bar). Inside, the music was really loud and good for dancing. Outside, you could barely hear what was playing in the background, which was perfect for a nice ambiance where you can carry a conversation. I would definitely go back on a Wednesday night.

I dont know what Central means in Greek- but it does not pertain to its location- unless it is Centrally located to Every girl's older brother's best friend- becuase thats who is there loooking at you when you try to talk to a girl. You are allowed to talk to them, maybe even buy a drink- but ah,ah,ah- NO touch- or a Fistfull of Soulvaki will fly through the air. Lucky for me, I look Greek- So I was kinda floatin around in here with a smile on my face as I was scouting out my next Penelope. OK, eye contact with dark haired girl with glasses, ok- kinda dance a little closer- YES friend whispers something- and then! OK,OK- the double look over to me, QUICK- look kinda sideways at the bar but watch their next moves. Ok, nice- now go over there and talk u Greek lookin Pole. That was my night- I wont get into details- or reveal my magic that I call conversation- but always staring at me were these older brother's friend type of dudes just chillen doing 1. Tryin to figure out if Im Greek 2. Trying to figure out if they should kick the Moussaka out of me 3. Makin sure Spiro's little sister Diana isnt talkin to no POLE. It was actually a good DJ spinning and we stayed from 1230-230.

Wow - there are a lot of bad reviews here, which I think is surprising. I suppose not being a big 'club-person' anymore precludes me from being 'in the know' about what makes a club good or bad these days, but I will honestly and easily say I had a very fun night of non-stop dancing here. The DJs at Central played at least 2 consecutive hours of Hip-hop, house, R&B, and other greats, spanning both old school and new school music. Good for getting your boogie on.

It's a nightclub where a well dressed and attractive crowd from the ethnic groups that reside in and around Astoria go to get bottle service and check out similarly situated eye candy.

I felt that I was inside a trash can filled with euro-trash. I spent a week visiting a friend family that reside in Astoria. My friend could have been your typical astorian (born in Greece, raised in Astoria) but had goals and dreams that Astoria could not support so he left. Anyway, back to my review of Central. My friend Nick sister who is a senior in high school asked if we wanted to go clubbing with her. Sure, why not. How bad could it be. this is after all new york city which is known for their night life. wow. such a mistake. Where should I start? oh yes, the music. euro house music. I can tolerate most music but this is horrible. They also played Greek music and even though I am not Greek and did not understand a word some of it sounded good-except for the techno Greek music which is just wrong. the people: most were young. The 17 years old I was with seem to know everyone and it seem that the entire 12th grade class of St. Demetrios were there. How were they able to get in and get drinks only means 1 of 2 things: the bouncers are really stupid and do not know a real id to a fake id OR Central is desperate for business that they are willing to break the law for some $$$s. I think it is the latter. Don't get me wrong they are not all youngsters. Central does have their own share of dirty old men and 45 years old single women showing too much saggy cleavage, wearing more makeup than a drag queen. Even the few 20-something years old there were all dressed in 2 years ago fashion and have big hair and most if not all of them are probably still living at home with their mommy and daddy who drive the 1985 BMW thinking that they are high rollers. The atmosphere: euro trashy. some may see it as "classy" but those are usually comments made by those that have not left queens. the drinks/food: did not eat anything since the neighborhood is disgusting and not clean however I did have a drink. They do not have a huge selection and the bartenders are amateur and seem to only know how to make a handful of drinks cause every drink my friend and I ordered we needed to explain to her how to make it. They also do not have a large beer selection, just your generic, big name, mass-produced beer. Do not expect to find anything local or organic in here which is a huge surprise cause beer is just soo good. The crowd is very amateur and most are not alcohol connoisseurs. Once again, you know you are in Queens from their lack of good alcohol. Maybe I just was expecting more from a club being in NYC but I do have to remember that this is after all Queens. You should not go there expecting anything classy. To liana P: Do try to go out more often. Central is not cultural. if you want culture head over to the Met.

Jason's review is so right on about this place. ended up having to go here last Sat for a friends bday after pre-gaming at his apt a few blocks away and was really surprised that a place like this existed in queens, mind you, I don't go out in queens much - just have no idea where to go. the decor was very trendy, definitely something you could easily find in Manhattan but it was sooo packed, I could barely see anything past the armpits of the tall eastern European dudes in front of me. this place was definitely busy but w/ all the euro trash and the really bad music, I couldn't stand to be there for more than 15mins so I cant really give a full review of prices etc. would I go back? Hmmmmmmmm, ummmmm, no thanks.

Definitely a great place for the weekend in Queens. I suggest tagging along with at least one Greek person you know in case you fear you might feel left out. However the music is great, the people are friendly. And talk about the renovation! Looks great guys! Especially the smoking section out back. It's heated in case you go there in the winter.

Visually this place is marvelous, the arhitect, lay out, design, decorations, are beautiful, the outdoor back area beautiful, even the people there are beautiful. Excellent place to bring a date for dinner and a drink and then after a little happy time dancing, hehehe, get a table and a bottle, the price wasn't that bad, I've paid up to $600 for 1 bottle, and I remember that place being a lot less. The music is chill, and as the night progesses and it gets packed, prepare for a hot night of dancing with beautiful people. I don't even know how to dance to techno-ish, tranc-ish, european mediterran blends, but I still had a great time and some how avoided not looking like a complete clown. Its a cool place, i will definetly go back.

WORST place I've ever been. This is not NYC. It's full of pretentious douche bags who probably still live off their parents. Worst part about this place?? SECURITY INSIDE THE PLACE. Not only did I get punched in the face, a FEMALE that i was with was punched in the nose by the same douche. Security who witnessed everything did absolutely nothing. HE HID BEHIND SECURITY as he sucker punched both of us in the face. What did security do? One bouncer stood in front and protected him while he was swinging away. i was told to speak to the head of security who reassured me that he was kicked out the back entrance. However, that was false. Many of my friends who witnessed this assault said he remained in the establishment as they left. Never will i come back to this place. Not only is it a waste of money, it's an extremely racist establishment that only favors Greeks. I would give it 0 stars if i could but i'll give it 1 star to the upbeat music. I write this review as i just got home from this place to show how much i despise and HATE (yes hate, an extremely strong word) this place.

What a HORRIBLE experience. Went last night with 10 friends and had a table reservation. We ended up with a tiny table and a couch that seats two. They wouldn't do anything for us and were very rude. Central is extremely overpriced for what it is. The place was jam packed and people were a shoving douchey hot mess. I'll never go back again and stick with Cavo!

    (1)
  • Reed F.

TO MUCH ATTITUDE FOR A PLACE IN QUEENS I wouldnt rave about this place at all. Cavo destroys this place. Cavo is way classier and has a much nicer decor. This place is pretty cheapo-looking. I should also add that they act like this is some sort of high end Manhattan club. It's in the middle of nowhere's-ville in Astoria, and difficult to get to unless you are driving. On the positive side it can have a somewhat attractive crowd on a Friday night.

  • Chris Y.

Every time I've come here I've had a fun time. Drinks are pricey but the atmosphere is great. Getting into the club after 11 may be tough, but overall in my opinion has been worth it. They even have a patio outside where you can chill and get away from the EDM for a while.

  • Maria M.

Pretty decent music, the deejay is generally really good and sort of known in the scene. I can't say I have always had a great time when I have although the times that were fun do surpass the times that were not so well. It's a beautiful establishment, especially for Astoria standards, it is one of the nicer clubs. The drinks could seem a bit pricey and the alchohol-juice ratio isn't as proportioned as I wished. I would definitely recommend going to some of the events they host such as the Carnival of Love which was a beautiful experience.

    (3)
  • Maria C.

Nice looking place ith a good set up. They have an enclosed outside area which is really nice. It gets pretty crowded but it is a big place and you can usually find an area with a little space to hang out in. It is more lounge/ club so it can be a little pricey. I have always had a good time here.

This place blows! My friend had her birthday here. The space itself is aesthetically beautiful, but it quickly became nauseatingly packed that Saturday night. Everyone was shoving everyone to be able to move even a few inches. The fire marshal would have had a field day here, I'm sure. The bartenders were throwing paper napkins in the air like confetti every few minutes. By the end of the night, the floor looked like a dirty bathroom, with the napkins sticking to everyone's shoes being dragged around like toilet paper. Classy. So was it the sardine-like environment, the dirty floor, or the the overpriced drinks that ruined our night? Not even. Some guy attempted to punch my friend in the face (no idea how it escalated, but classy nonetheless), missed, and hit my girl friend instead! But did hitting a girl faze this jackhole? No way. He swung and again and hit his intended target, but then ran away and hid in VIP. We told the bouncer what happened (coward was hiding right behind him), and the bouncer ignored us and let him get away with it. Sorry we're not dropping $$ on bottles, but the guy should have at least gotten reprimanded, if not thrown out! A pox on you, Central! I shall never return!

Was at CENTRAL last night. Great place, great time. They have the best fund raising events like the Carnival of Love event I went to last night. This is a Manhattan club dropped in Astoria. The front door staff could be more professional and nice but other than that this place is great!@!!!

  • Jennifer L.

It was 12:30 am on a Saturday night, there were about 5 other people waiting on line. The bouncers ignored us as if we were invisible. Bouncers make up a club and is a big part of a club. If the bouncer, especially the bouncer's supervisor is not replaced I see the fall of this place soon. They are not professional at all! No cover. Everyone seemed to be in the back by the DJ. My friends and I decided to get bottle service. We were seated in a cramped section near the bathrooms. Mind you, our "table" hardly had any space for our bucket and glasses. So terrible. The waitress not once came over to check up on us after we gave her a generous tip. The f***?!?! The interior is elegant, sexy, and appealing but the layout is a bit funky. Music was on point all night; played house music until 2ish then switched over to hip hop and dancehall. There's also a nice outdoor patio/ area in the back if you need to take a smoke break. The crowd was mostly Eastern European and Middle Eastern. Sausage Fest! The guys near us were creepy, kept coming to our "table", and one guy kept gyrating on me and wouldn't leave me alone. I really wanted to like this place considering it's one of the few clubs in the area. I don't recommend going unless you want a night filled with customer service that is so relentlessly terrible and guys sneaking up on you.

My girlfriends and I were out to dinner in the city (Manhattan) and the meal started winding down... One of us checked instagram and saw that Ja Rule was going to be performing at Central. Central? Hmm. Never heard of it. One of my girlfriends said that Central is in Astoria. Astoria? It seemed like another realm from where we were, but, for Ja Rule, anything is possible. We got in a taxi and headed to Astoria. I was not prepared for... How freakin' cute this place is! It's ulta-modern, luxe decor quite frankly, shocked me. It was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the promoters were as well. We were told where he would be performing and strategically placed ourselves right in the middle to get a good view. Well, we did. We ended up watching him from the front row and then he posed for pictures with many people (including us) afterwards. It was the perfect amount of people. I was expecting everyone to be packed like sardines and me to be left feeling very uncomfortable. Nope. I was absolutely comfortable the entire evening AND I was wearing a WHITE blazer which left without one stain. Woooohooo. Let's just say that I will keep this place in mind if I am ever in the area (or maybe will see another act there soon).

I went here on a Saturday for someone's birthday. I was with a solid 3:1 girl/guy ratio and got in quickly. The club its self is modern and typical to what you would find in Manhattan, but the layout is weird and does not flow well. The drinks are weak and overpriced, especially for being so far out in Queens. This place was a sausage fest. The girls I arrived with all complained that they were aggressively swarmed by short douchey Persians. The music was wack. It's this generic euro/house/pop which probably does cater to the crowd in general, but it's not good or cool or anything too which I'd want to dance all night. The whole experience was just very basic and droll. I did, however, have fun for the time I was there but that wasn't at all due to the venue its self. The only plus was that the staff were friendly and attentive. Also, if you're some basic ass persian douche then this place the spot for you. Go nuts.

I come here like 3-4 times a year maybe more for birthdays... We always have a good time... But...the guys at the door are really rude like we're getting a table, calm down no ones "cutting" the line... Bad aura from them but once inside had a blast.. Our waitress catered to us all night made sure our drinks were always filled ... This place does get packed I would only recommend coming here if are getting a table otherwise you'll just be standing in this mish mosh of people. I've read that some reviews state people are just kind of standing there well u can't really move much and the 2nd you bump into that girl or guy that's had one too many your night can take a turn for the worst haha ... Have a good night and get the table it's worth it and u can dance in your little area .. Clean... Bathrooms could be a little better the door is like right against the toilet when u open it, it's strange lol A little pricey on the bottles but whatever I'm sure people have paid more at places that were sh*t... Other than that, good times..

This place is a gem, a beautiful and elegant club in the heart of queens, with beautiful women, charming men, friendly waitresses and staff, what more can a person ask for? This place is nowhere near ghetto or ratchet , the décor and design of this place is worth every dollar, brand new furniture in the vip section , a fireplace by the bar and gorgeous wooden tables with funky wall interiors, dim lights, huge bars on each side of the main room with options ranging from beer to top shelf items. the martinis ranged from 12-14 dollars, while bottle service ranged from 175-850 depending on what you choose, imperia was 175, goose is 275, and bacardi is 225. the place is freaking spotless, there was so many staff around constantly cleaning up spilled drinks and napkins on the floor, even the bathroom was spotless, with marble counter tops and five clean stalls, the lines move quickly too. the dj was great, he played a variety of music from old house, to new house, some trance, good hip hop and rap songs, the place was lively. the outdoor patio was heated, its perfect to get some air since it is really loud inside with 0 service, of course this is ideal for smokers. Coat check here isn't mandatory but in the winter I feel it Is a must, it is only 3 bucks. there is no entrance fee, they offer valet parking, and all items including their sushi are decently priced. what makes this place unique is that they have two parts of the club, the other side of the club has another dj and another bar and more tables, so if you get tired of techno you can switch over to the other room with the other dj for a different style of music. I love how this place is large enough with enough furniture for everyone to sit, they even have these hidden hallways past the bathroom with more furniture to rest if you get tired, not once on the dancefloor was I pushed or shoved, there was a large enough space for everyone, we didn't feel like a pack of sardines. there was 0 fights, the vibe was great, everyone was really friendly ,not once did I see anyone grill each other, 0 drama. the security guards also don't act like jerks, they don't care about your background or your size, everyone is welcome here compared to other places in manhattan. also they have live performances on Fridays, im talkin bout fat joe and Omarion, to troy ave, it cant get better then this!

This place was so much fun. I didn't eat here, just had a drink but it was awesome. We have pegged it as the spot for the next ladies night. Beautiful people everywhere. More men than women (which is good for the single ladies) and one was better looking than the next. It is so nice to see a man dress up to go out again (and by dressing up I mean doing more than taking the baseball cap off and gelling the hair back). The music was awesome, just enough current mixed with remixes of old favorites. We will definitely be back, possibly for sushi as well. If only the parking was better!!

I've only been here for a private party, so of course I had a good time. This place has an outdoor bar with tons of beds and couches to sit on. They also serve pretty good Greek/Mediterranean food. The Greek music might be a turn off for some. It's definitely a Queens-ish crowd, so don't even bother if that's not your scene.

As annoying as this place is, I constantly find myself coming back. My roommate is a self-proclaimed 'fist pumper', and therefore fits in perfectly here, so its usually her that suggests it. The drinks are standard and theres a $50 minimum for credit cards, plus a mandatory coat check during the winter. It gets super crowded and a little claustrophobic at times. I guess its to be expected though, when its one of about 3 big clubs in Astoria. The outside area is a little small but enjoyable when its nice. I dont love it here but I dont hate it either, I'd just rather go somewhere else.

I have a personal vendetta against this festering cesspool of atrocious euro-trash house music and overpriced booze. Now, don't get me wrong...I have nothing against house music. In fact, there is very little I love more than truly good house music. As a lover of house, however, the type of garbage they spin at Central makes me want to jump off my third-story porch. Now, let me clarify. I have only been to Central once. However, I lived next door to it for over two years. The crowd this place attracts is a virulent mix of wanna-be high rollers, streetwalkers in training and meatheads. The decor is admittedly trendy and looks quite expensive. So does the collection of liquor bottles behind the bar. I suppose the outdoor patio could be nice as well, as long as you don't mind the aforementioned bad house music, pricey drinks and clientele. The bar offers valet parking, which is the bane of anyone who actually lives nearby as the jerks who run the service take up every single parking space within an 6-block radius...leaving nothing for residents after about 10pm on weekends. The one time I did actually go inside (know your enemy, right?), my roommates and I found ourselves talking to personable but slightly dim bartendress. "Have you guys been here on Friday?" she asked. It was Thursday. "No," we replied. "OH! You guys should totally come back on Friday! This place is RETARDED on Fridays!" Indeed...

I used to go there all the time. I am very sad to read all those reviews. I don't go there much anymore, but anytime i show up at the door i hear "long time don't see you"" and never had any problem around. But, yes, i have to wait a little to get in, but once i am inside, it is always a lot of fun. I loved it!!!

I love this place mostly because I am Greek and it is mostly for Greek crowd playing a mix of Greek music, dance, and a tad bit of hip hop. Honestly we like to keep it Greek up in here because we need a place of our own and since all the other Greek spots in Astoria are taken over. Not saying anything wrong with that, but to have at least one place of our own is what most of us go for. But if you want to check out different mix of music and with a good lookin crowd, slightly pretentious, and always crowded - then why not for something different.

this place has a beautiful setup, very upscale and trendy. if you don't go early expect to wait on a long line. if you are with girls you walk right in. my complaints about this place is it gets way to packed and you can barely walk its a fight waiting to happen. also alot of euro trash guys, seems like the beautiful girls in there are attracted to that. drinks are very pricey its like going out to the city. i am a good lookin guy but it seems like alot of girls in there want the rich older type/euro-trash. the music is ok they play way to much techno shit not enough of a mix. Cavo is way better than this place.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
